down sizing jet 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Howdy, I have an 05 silverado 1700. Running Cobra slash cut exhaust, pro-r hypercharger, ais removed. When I jetted the carb I used the kit that came from Kuryakyn. Talked with tech guys from Kury and Cobra on jetting. They said 182.5. Bike runs great, but the guy driving the fuel truck I'm having to follow says my mileage stinks. Going down to a 170 or 172. Any suggestions on needle clip placement or other ideas on the jetting? Elevation here is 317 ft. Thanks for any help I can get. Btw, I ride to work every day(30 miles one way)so The throttle stayspretty steady on the road.

Post edited by: Snag, at: 2006/04/22 11:23

Firtly, you need to be sure of the brand of main .... Mikuni or DJ.

If you have a Mikuni 182.5 (DJ does not make that size), then you are way too rich.

Try a 172.5 Mikuni with the clip in the 3rd groove.
