Jetting 2 Years, 8 Months ago
i just got myself an 06 r*. I will be installing 2-1 HK sideburners and a K&N BAK.
I ordered a kit from Dynojet and it tells me to use a 200 main. Firstly, has anyone out there put sideburners on their r* and is 200 not a little rich?
Does DJ on a jet mean it is manufactured by Dynojet? I am new at this so any suggestions would be appreciated. thx

BTW I am about 600ft above sea level.

Post edited by: Topher, at: 2006/04/22 16:25

Try a 180 main jet, needle on 3rd groove, PMS out about 3 turns

Yes, but I thought all DJ have on their jets is the size.

OK....we are getting there. Main with 180 DJ, PMS with 3 turns and needle at 5th clip. Bike goes like stink, but I am getting backfiring through the carb. I am waiting for an AIS kit from Barons to help with backfiring and popping from the pipe. Any suggestions?

Thanks to all who reply
Chris

You might be a little lean in the pilot circuit, try 1/4 turn out on your PMS. Have you also adjusted your duration screw previously?
