CARB ISSUES 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
RE-JETTED OVER A YEAR AGO/5K MILES+ AND ALL OF A SUDDEN BIKE STARTS ACTING UP
IT STARTS FINE AND RUNS NORMAL FOR ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/2 MILE AND THEN STARTS BACK FIRING.
THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED IT CLEARED ON IT'S OWN AFTER A FEW MINUTES BUT NOW 3-4 RIDES LATER IT HAS GOT PRGRESSIVELY WORSE. ANY IDEAS ?????? FUEL QUALITY AND PLUGS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM !

Might be alot of things, does it do when you pull over and let it idle after it starts doing this?

Might be the beginning of SVS. Run some Seafoam, Ringfree, or MMO in the gas for a few tanks and see if it clears up at all.

Could be an obstruction in the fuel flow, like a partially clogged filter etc..What year model is it...?

try Musky's advice, see if that clears it up. You might try hitting the rev limiter a few time on your next ride also. See if getting the carbon blown out of it helps.

Same as the others have said, and I don't know what grade of gasoline you are currently using, but run the regular, the other discussions on SVS have usually brought up the gasoline, it seems that the our large engine is a lower compression engine that does not require the higher grades of fuel therefore the regular will burn more complete than the premeum fuels....Just an idea!

you could do a local search on our website, there are tons of posts regarding SVS.. be aware that a lot of folks are quick to jump to svs, so you really need to eliminate other causes first....
