I asked a question about riding in the heat on the Road Star Riders forum today. It's 94 and no clouds here today and I hate riding in that kinda heat so I'm riding by computer today The answer I got included some info on running lean in heat.

"ran through 115 degree heat in AZ last year. Plenty of highway speeds and plenty of stop and go. No problems. If you lean the carb out too much reaching for the ultimate mileage you may have it get a little hot if you aren't moving....leads to carb boil over.

As for the rider in the heat.....get a Camelback unit for hydration and a Cool Vest. Soak it down and go riding."

If it start withouts the choke then you still too rich. Remember that as all the circuits bleed into each other a little, a little rich in one circuit will affect another.

http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/95/96/

Turn in to lean, out to richen. If you can turn it all the way in and the bike does not stumble then you're too rich somewhere. Try dropping the main from the DJ 190 to the DJ 175 and leaving everything else the same (the PMS at 2.5 and the needle at 4).

If when you turn it in, the bike stumbles then find the halfway point (stumbles turning in, stumbles turning out).
