I added the Speedstar Air Filter on my Bike with a set of Samson Rolled Thunder Slip on Pipes and thought I had to Jet my Carb after reading a number of posts on this topic. I spoke with the Tech at the local dealer about this and told him what I had added and he said that as long as it is not back firing and runs fine there is no need to change the jets. When the bike is cold she has to idle and warm up which is normal and she idles fine, I have to pull the choke out for a few minutes, after she warms up she is ready to run. I have no problems with it.
