Re:Jet equivalent? 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago
The lack of communication with the 'stealership' while my bike was being worked on was down right pathetic. They had it for over a week, worked on it a day and a half and then proceeded to hound me to pick it up for 3-4 rainy/snowy days. Then when I did, they wanted TWICE the estimate they gave me stating that they had problems installing the Eibach 1k lbs spring and had ordered the Barons jet kit instead of the Kuryakyn by mistake. After balking at the price and agreeing to a much lower amount (but still more than the estimate), I received a blank receipt for cash paid labor only ... nothing showing what was done, which parts I supplied, the specs nor the exact times for each item. (I supplied the exhaust, heat shields, baffles and gaskets, the spring, K&N oil filter, Gel Battery, Ceramic Brake Pads, Ignition and Cam covers, and Chrome Swing Arm covers. They provided the jet kit,, Yamalube 20-50 synthetic oil and labor. The bike wasn't even wiped down or cleaned and looked like it was test ridden in the rain. Can you say NEVER AGAIN???)

There's a reason why those of us who frequent this forum value it so much. P1ss poor customer service from places like this is one of them, and sometimes just one reason is enough!

I'd for sure be writing a letter to the owner of the shop telling him about your experience. He may already know and not care, or he may be so hands off on things he's clueless that his shop folks are treating people this way. As someone who's owned a business in the past I'd much rather hear about negative experiences than positive ones. At least then I can take action to make things right.
