Just wondering what brand and type of PMS Screw that each of you have used, and which do you like best for your 1700 Roadie?
I am looking into installing one that is easily "on-the-road adjustable," as I am planning a trip that will encounter extreme altitude changes, and I don't want to have any problems with adjusting it on the trip.

I use and recommend the Baron's thumbscrew. Roadside adjustable and all. BB

I'm using the newer, longer version of MaxAir's MaxMix screw. Only costs $15 and is easily adjustable.

The only options for "roadside tweakable" are Maxair's Maxmix Pro and the Barons PMS.

I have the original MaxMix. I don't like it as it's too fine 'touchy' .... a small turn produces big results.

I bought a Baron PMS last fall but have not had a chance to try it out.

Love my Baron's it is easy to get to. You can buy a phono plug at Radio Shack and cut it down and split the small end in a cross and slide it over the screw and screw tower on the carb to keep it from falling out.BTW the screw fits a lot tighter in the new carb.

That's because it's not yet enlarged from your continual tinkering.
