Our transmissions have the 4th gear ratio .986 (I think) which is a very slight overdrive. Our 5th gear ratio is .75 which is realy an overdrive! Made for cruising, not accelerating. Even after kicking it down to 4th and just about stretching the snot out of the throttle cable... I couldn't get any more than 90 MPH out of the poor thing ...(And you know an R* can do better on a good day) These machines are amazing, even for these times... I spent a lot of time searching for the right bike for the money before trading my Kaw.
