I disabled the AIS by plugging the rubber hoses that feed the cylinders with silicone, and plugging the hose to the intake with a solid piece of plastic off one of my kids toys (golf tee will work too). It took about 15 minutes to remove and 'fill' the hoses. I let the silicone set up and then gave it a test by trying to blow through the hose. Install was about 5 minutes. Same result as full removal, and easy to reverse by removing the silicone from the tubes with solvent.

Questcap: The rear braking set-up is pretty neat show, but such a small sized disc makes for some pretty poor braking... ...this road star is to cool!!!
