Stock jets 9 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I am getting ready to rejet my 07 R*, I am installing Cobra speedster Longs and a Barons BAK (112.00 brand new on eBay).http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=014&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=330219377552&rd=1

My question is...Do I/should I buy a jet kit...or just go to the dealer and buy jets there?? You just change the mains and change the needle clip position, correct??

Anyone running the above set-up, and what are you running for jets/needle position?

thanks
Chris

I would just buy the Barons jet kit. You could get away with ordering jets but the kit is nice. While you have it apart port your manifold too it's a nice power boost.

The Bak comes with a Barons jet kit. Or it's supposed to anyway. If it doesn't have it I would order one. I have cobra Lo-Boys, a BAK, and ported manifold. I'm running a 167.5 main, needle in the 3rd with 2 washers under the spacer. PMS at 2 1/2, Accel screw 1 turn out with nut in front. 35 pilot.

The Barons jet kit has a slimmer needle than the stock one and it has six groves where the stock one doesn't have but one grove. It also comes with 167.5 main all the way down to a 175 so you have more choices. Also comes with washers and a clip but you can use your old ones. If the one you get from e-bay doesn't have it order one.
