Alberta does not require mandatory emmission tests, but "voluntary drive-through" ones are setup occasionally for "curious motorists" to visit.

(What are we setting ourselves up for?!) I heard something about "Tier 2 Bin 5" emissions coming into effect for 2007 causing discontinuation of some automotive diesel engines here.

Probably have to put back on that pathetic AIS system on my R* someday too!
