Hey Musky(Fastaire ?) 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Will the fastaire idle adjuster work on our stock carbs or just the flat slides?

I was told (no first hand experience) by people that have them that they fit right on our carbs.

Hey Dave
If your interested in it, you can have mine. Won't cost you a thing to try. Others seem to be able to use it, so maybe something I'm overlooking. If it does fit, just post it. I don't want to give anyone the wrong info.
I'm the kinda guy that if my arm is missing, and someomne says it isn't, I'll go get my eyes checked.

Hey Mr Cancilla
I went to my mailbox, and no sent message is showing up for you. I must have done something wrong. So, I quess I would have been waiting a long time before I received a reply.

CoachDan

PM me your address and how much you paid and I'll send you a check. I'm sorry for posting something based on second hand info. I should know better than to do that.

Hey Musky
No problem here. Mr Cancilla talked to them, and they pretty much told me the same thing, that they would fit if the 40mm was the same as the 42-45. They wanted photos when I was finished, so I quess they were not 100% sure either. I sent photos, but not exactly what they were hoping for. They're good people, and would return my money, but I thought Mr Cancill had a 1600, and was just curious if it fit his. If Dave, or Mr Cancilla doesn't want to mess around with this one, then I'm going to turn it into a 6 mm turny thing to hold down the back of my Mustang solo seat.

Hey Musky
I quess I didn't phrase things right earlier. I don't want folks thinking the Fast Air will not fit at all, Musky, you were right, they will work, it's just that part of the needle end needs to be removed. That makes it shorter, and hard for me to get to. The threads will fit fine though. I was just hoping it would fit like my MaxMix screw, which sticks out a little more. This is probably what others have done that used the FastAir on our stock carbs.

If your talking about a flat slide 42 or 45mm Hsr, I don't see how the needle could work in the 40 also..as the pms in the 40 adjusts fuel, where in the hsr's it adjusts air...
