I drive my pretty hard, especially off the line. Don't blip much. Still get about the same tank to tank.

I'm satisfied with my mileage. If I want to save gas I'll take the bus.

Are you using the Imperial gallon or the US gallon?

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the feedback!!! Seems like I'm not alone here. Guess I'll try the PMS adjustment Musky suggested and trimming the choke knob and see what happens before going back into the carb.

Thanks again and ride safe.

In The Wind,
Aaron

Oh yeah,
VegasDave, I don't know about keeping it under 70mph. That just wouldn't be right!!!

I have an '04 Silverado. I run the standard hypercharger with 3" HK Big Straights. I'm at about 1100' elevation. On average, I get about 42 MPG highway (US Gal). I didn't do the jetting on my bike two techs did. The first one made it too rich. Took it some where else and it may be a hair too lean now. My mileage drops to about 35MPG when I ride over 75MPH.

Re:MPG Issue....Again 8 Months, 1 Week ago
i have been watching this thread for a while, and I am pretty surprised. I didn't think that my milage was great, but compared to what some of you are getting, i feel a lot better. I have an 02 with 10000 miles. I have the BAK, ported manifold, jardine slashcuts, and dyna 3000. Speed limit where I live is 75, and my speedometer frequently reaches into the 90's for short periods of time. I was having some trouble with carb last spring, rejetted it myself and average about 46 MPG's. Over the winter I did a little more carb tinkering. I think that my float is still a little to high (haven't had the time to change it), and so for on my 5 tanks this year, I am getting 48. I have only gotten above that illusive 50 once, and that was riding with then wind for well over half the tank. I thought that most everyone had been getting around 50, i was in search of how to stay there on a consistent basis. I guess though, my bike is probably running just about as efficient as it is going to get.
