DON'T USE THE PILOT JETS IN THE KIT. JUST USE THE STOCK ONE THAT'S IN THE CARB NOW. USE THE 170 FROM THE KIT AND PUT THE CLIP IN THE FORTH SLOT DOWN FROM THE BIG END. TURN THE PMS SCREW TWO AND HALF TURNS OUT. THIS IS A BASE SETTING. YOU SHOULD GO THROUGH THE FULL PROCESS OF SETTING UP THE CARB FOR YOUR BIKES LIKES AND ENVIRONMENT. THIS SHOULD GET IN THE BALLPARK AS I HAVE MOSTLY THE SAME SET UP.

CURT IS FROM DOWN THERE IN TEXAS AND IS WELL EXPERIENCED WITH THE CARBS I'M SURE HE WILL HAVE MORE TO ADD.

You can try the 167.5 or the 170. Put one in, put the clip in the 5th groove from the blunt end, PMS 2 to 2 1/2 turns out. Do the WOT. If the main checks out move the clip to the 4th groove and tweak the needle and PMS from there. Leave the stock Pilot in there.
