#91251 Munchee (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 24 whats that mean? 7 Months ago   I've been trying to dial my bike in since changing to my K&N and Barrons jet kit. When I give a quick jerk on the throttle I get a poof of air..kind of a sputter I guess. It doesn't do it all of the time probably 80% though. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1510 Re:whats that mean? 7 Months ago   I wouldn't recommend any fuel but 87 as the manual recommends If your Roadie was not warmed up that could happen. Anytime you quickly twist the throttle it could do exactly what you are describing. I think your settings are ok. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1510 Re:whats that mean? 7 Months ago   Good Point Musky!! I forgot I changed mine and put the nut behind the bolt and that helped a lot! It reduces how much fuel gets sprayed into the carb when you twist the throttle. Take your air cleaner off and twist the throttle (when bike is off!) and you will see a squirt of fuel go into the carb adjust the screw until it squirts much less fuel than stock. I ended up moving the nut to the back side of the bolt to get more adjustment. Just don't twist the throttle too much when its off or you will flood it and it won't start trust me Steven   Logged     2005 Midnight Silverado   The administrator has disabled public write access.
