Adjusting the needle clip? 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I need to adjust my needle position as we my cousin and I set the bike too lean when we rebuilt it after my tranny break this winter. I can't recall the orientation of the carb as it sits on the bike, but is it possible to just pull the tank to get at the part of the carb to pull the needle out? I'd have my cousin help me, but he's off in Manitoba to get married this weekend. As I'm running lean right now (notch on the 2nd clip from the blunt end) I'd rather richen her up a bit if I could. Thanks.

Mark

Yup. You can just pull the tank. No need to take the carb off or disconnect anything.

Excellent, that's what I was hoping! I'm loaning my bike to a good buddy of mine for 2 weeks while I'm in Mexico so I want to make sure it's running just right for him.
