Squeaky front brake 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Any suggestions on how to quiet down a squeaky front brake? The pads have plenty of meat on them. Thanks,

Are they semi metallic? If they are it wont go away. If not you can you some "anti squeak" stuff on the rear of the pad..the part against the piston. By the way..

Thanks, and thanks. I'll try some of the "anti squeak" stuff. I"m not sure if they are semi metallic.

wd-40 will make the squeak go away on the brakes but will make the rider start squeaking

Ok please dont use that on your brakes...otherwise theyll give you the goes

Sometimes a little lite sanding on the rotor will help.

Mine do it to but only when I push in the garage. New pads with only about 1000 miles on them.

I just had a $400 brake job done on my car, ceramic shoes, and they squeak, maybe 150 miles on them.

Hey Cuervo...
If'n it really bugs the snot out of you... Get some tuner cleaner and spray them liberally (Make sure you put something on the floor first...) That'll clean the pads and you'll get great reception afterward too...
