extra sprin and washers for the carb? 6 Months ago
Anyone know where I can pick up a few washers and springs for the carb just in case I try to seat the needle and it doesn't hit the hole and the white tab comes loose shooting a spring into spring heaven causing me to loose a washer, too?

I know someone this happened to last night. Not me of course!

Just so ya know...in an emergency like that , the spring out of a pen will work.

You know, I read that somewhere on here and told my "friend" about that and it worked like a charm. Thank God I read that on here.....for his sake!

I made some washers out of electrical contacts. I only needed one and I happened to have a couple that would work.

I would like to get some extras. I'm the kind of OCD person that it will bother me until I put a real washer and spring in there. Besides I need to clean the chrome on top of my cylinders.

Yes on the pen spring.

For the washer above the clip, you can pic up some at Radio Shack.

For the washer under the spring, they are specific thickness so you should go to the dealer. They come in different thicknesses which are different colours ... get two siver, one purple and one gold.

You can pic up a whole bag of washers at Radio shack for a couple bucks.
