Slop in the twistgrip.. 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Evenin'!

i replaced my 07 midnight R* stock grips with the Kury Iso. All went well - was curious tho- there seems to be some play in it now that i didnt notice before. (it could have been there and i just didnt notice then.) I have about 1/8" in and out play (pushing the grip inwards towards the starter switch) and about 1/8" play twisting back and forth before it pulls the throttle cable. This is very bothersome as i feel safer with no play in the twisting of the grip. Sometimes i forget about the twisting slack and jump the throttle a bit.I hear one way to fix this is to remove the gas tank to get to the throttle cables at the carb. Is there a way to tighten at the twisty? or any other ideas on removing the slop from the twistgrip.

Thanks in advance !!

pooldoc. There is an adjuster at the throttle on the top cable, loosen the locknut and turn the adjuster to take up the slack. There is supposed to be some free play. Not sure but I think around 1/8 to 1/4in.
