Hello!
Ever since I have owned the Roadie, I have had a problem fitting my size 13's under the brake pedal to have full use of the floorboard! Has anyone done any mods or know of any extensions that can alleviate the issue?? Thanks...

You can cut half the length off your pedal and then cut the rubber to fit. Or you can get the pedal off a 1100 Vstar. Fits right on to the Roadie arm and is about half the size of the stock pedal.

But, I'd like to keep the "big" pedal as I like the size and also just put on a new Kuryakyn pedal! Thanks for the input though!!!  |

Have you tried adjusting the pedal up higher to give more room underneath? There is / was a company called soft brake that made extended arms. Never checked into it or saw one though.  |

Thanks for the info!!! Yes they are still around, just checked them out. But, $149.95 is way out of my budget!!!  Guess I'll have to brainstorm a bit. But also just found a tech article on here that might suit my needs!!! Thanks...  |

My best suggestion is to make yourself comfortable by placing your heels on the forward outside corners of your floorboards and let your feet hang out.. And have quick reflexes if you need your rear brake, but in case of a panic stop the front'll be your biggest friend anyway

Here's what I did to raise the pedal. It was simply, works good, and doesn't look bad either.
First I unbolted the brake pedal assembly from the floorboard bracket and added 2 washers to each stud so they are sandwiched between the pedal and floorboard bracket (I'll make a spacer for this later) this raised it only about 1/4 inch. Then I took a piece of rubber vaccuum hose and cut it to the length of the brake pedal stop on the under side of the pedal. I slit it so it would slide over the stop. Next I took a peice of rugger gas line and did the same. This I slide over the vaccuum hose and put them both on the pedal stop. This all raised the bottom of the brake pedal from the stock 2 1/2 inches above the floorboard to 4 inches above. Here's some pics of it all.
