welcome oakrider, i bought an 04 r* last year [mint] w/7k on the bike for $8200 o.t.d. ive put,dualies,windshield,running lites,BAK,& new wide whites on it& ive barely got 10k into it.the point is,you chosen a great bike [almost cult following], you;ve found the clinic, now go find a better deal. check e bay ,65 were listed yesterday .again, welcome &good luck

I agree with everyone. I have an 05 with lots of extras. I'm sure that I would only fetch $10,000.00 Canadian for it (if it was for sale) and it only has 8,000 miles on it.
One more thing to concider. I always say that if any used item is more than 75% of cost new it better be as new. Nomally most folks finance anyway. If so the bank rates are always less for new vehicles since they are cincidered secured loans. Only my 2 cents. Good luck & take your time looking around.

I bought my 2006 Road Star from Bob at www.bobzbikz.com in Kingman, Kansas. 2006 with 187 miles on it for $8200.00. He is great to deal with and ships bikes all over the country. Store is 25 miles from me and the 2006 BMW F650 Dakar on his website is the bike I traded in on the Road Star.

I bought my 05 new ) miles with winshield and HK K2 pipes for $10,600. Shop around man there are LOT of low miles R* that have just been sitting.

I know why the bike is priced so high!! You're in the sili"con" valley. They must price their bikes like the housing there.......crazy
