Hello fellow riders and Rodie owners

I just recently picked up a stock 2002 roadstar and the first thing was to get rid of those ugly stock yamaha stock pipes. I looked around for months, and desided on the Vance and hines long shots.Vey nice bark with them but i find them a little loud. Is there a way to stuffing the baffle to quiet the pipe down?

since no one else has answered you might try the mod on this link!

http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/98/105/ they probably won't be quieter but the tone will be deeper so it will be less offensive and seem quieter.

also if you pull the baffles and install torque cones in the heads you will be a really deep tone that is less offensive.

Dave, I have an 04 with the long shots, I added the Barons Xtreme slash tips and they toned it down nicely

Thanks to both of you for your input........Barons tips will they fit ok? I have contacted Vance and hines and there is a quiter baffle you can purchase but not sure if i am going to go that route yet.

I have the Longshots with the Thunder Monster baffles. When I first heard them I thought they were very loud. After 2 years they are just - "mellow"!!! Wait and see if you don't get used to them!
