this is one I would not suggest, I tried it...http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup.aspx?GID=61E07D99-43CB-4B9C-815A-19C780F1DCB3
sorry, that's the wrong model, but I had the same bulb to replace an 1157 in the tail light, and it was not too good..

Take a look at www.customdynamics.com I have an account with them and can get their products for you. They have a disk that just fits the R* signal housing, the lens holds it in place. I think it has 45 LEDs on it on the back is a pigtail with a base for either 1156 or 1157. I have them on my own bike and think they are great.

The brightest daytime..
I have found.. is clear 1157 in the front..file the lower nib
and amber lenses...

clear 1156 in the rear file one of the lower nibs and red lens (available from Kury) or painted red lens

although Leds are nice cause they need less power and they look cool

the incandesent bulb is brighter..and more noticeable in most cases

colored bulbs and clear lenses less noticable in the daytime..

compare lumens or candle power and the leds come up short

Brightness of LED Car Bulbs
LED bulbs are generally not as bright as standard incandescent bulbs, they have many advantages over filament bulbs (longer life, faster on/off times, lower power consumption, more vivid colors) but brightness is not one of them.
They are generally not as bright but some of them with large numbers of LEDs, will appear brighter than filament bulbs.
As an exception, our new 3 Watt and 5 Watt Luxeon LED car bulbs are as bright or brighter than most standard filament car bulbs.
The light is distributed differently so they can appear brighter in some applications and not as bright in others, it depends on the size and shape of the bulb housing and reflector.
Most LED bulbs emit light like a flashlight, all out the end. Regular filament bulbs emit light from the end and all sides, so they will be better suited for some lighting applications than LED bulbs.
This is the same reason why we do not rate LED car bulbs in lumens or watts, the numbers would be deceptively low because the light is measured from all sides and the end on standard filament bulbs but only from the end on LED bulbs

get off centre on viewing the led and they are poor...

The Custom Dynamics bulbs that specifically fit the R* turn signals are GEN200????? The first ? is A or R for color the rest is a number for the base. They list for $64.95, cost is $45.95, +10% is $50.55 for a pair. If you want 1 pair for either front or rear they are $50.55 + shipping, or for both ends $101.10 + shipping.

I agree .... the cheap 5 mm leds are inadequate for use except as accessory lighting.

On the other hand, I picked up a 10 W, single red LED .... it's about 1/2' in diameter. It will blind you.

Picked them up but I need to make an enclosure for them.

I was going to use them (2) as stop light but have changed directions. ... I have a running/stop/turn signal Maltese cross. Probably use the 10 W LEDs under my seats as running/turn signals.
