I cannot find an exhaust system for the 08 with FI and O2 sensors. Does anyone know of an after market system that is available?

I had them put on a week ago today. If you order, you need to tell them you have an 08. They list or did list a part # that was the same as the previous years but it is really a different part #. They are not the same price, mine cost a little over $600 but they really are good looking, good sounding pipes. I have Vance and Hines on a Nomad, and have had longshots on a 1500 Vulcan Classic, Hard Krome 2.75 big straights on an 06 Roadstar, and have also had Jardine slip ons on a bike and the Speedstars, for me, are as good as any. I did not add anything else but you may get popping if you don't disable or block the air induction system. Some people say they haven't but I have on my Kawasakis and did on this bike even with stock pipes.

I have no idea where you ordered these yamaha speedstar pipes with o2 sensors.. Ive talked to 6 yami dealerships and three called yamaha and not one of them said that they make a pipe for the 08 WITH o2 sensors in it..What shop are you dealing with because I will call them direct instead of searching the United States for someone that knows anything about the 08 bike. In a way I want to just get 07 pipes ,pc and disable the o2 sensors but on the other hand there on the bike for a reason (that I dont know) so id like to keep them if possible.Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Dan I got the info from 1steady.. I called the guy in Penscola FL and got the part number.. It sells as a Speedstar yamaha pipe but its made by Vance & Hines.. Part number is
SPD-5VN09-90-03 There the long drag pipes
My yamaha dealer here had truoble finding them but they did finally.. Your shop needs to call Yamaha direct tell them that part number and make sure it has the 02 sensors in there.. I think retail was $620.. I have mine on order will be Tuesday..

The O2 sensors monitor the oxygen content in the exhaust so the ECM can tell the fuel injection how much fuel to add to the mix. Long story short (I know, too late..) you need them.
