Your bike is not stock so I'm trying to figure out possible contributors to your problem.

Obviously changing mirrors wouldn't but if you have raked trees it would.

First of all, sounds like the dealer shot you a load of crap saying these bikes have play in the neck. But you need to pay attention to that neck, my 06 had something wrong with it, i'm not sure what caused my problem but the dealership completely changed the front bearings and stem and all rides great now. My bike before had a catch in slow turns, and cupping tire. nothing rattled or was loose.....The stock headlight will get a rattle in it on these bikes, you may want to check that out in the tech articles. I hope this helps!

My belt guard rattles on my 06. If you grab it by hand it make no noise but if you give a tap with your finger you can hear it rattle. I just live with it for now.

Alright guys,I went to another dealer today and let the mechanic take it for a spin and he came back and told me that most of what I'm hearing and feeling is normal,he said the clatter up front sounds like the neck bearing even after checking it and it was tight, might need a new bearing. An 06' with 2500 miles needs a new bearing? Wow!

Come to find out it isn't the neck bolt backing off, these custom brake rotors have a tendencies to cause some brake pad chatter,I'm still getting a rough vibration underneath me,especially when the wife is riding with me,hardly at all when she's not.
