Re Installing Rear Wheel NEED HELP 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hey all,
I removed the rear wheel and had a new tire mounted. As I'm putting it back on I notice a spacer "tube" inside the rim. I can take it out if need be. But it just floats in there. I can't get the axle back in because the spacer moves around, doesn't center up. I have an '06 Silverado.
Thanks in advance
Bob

dont mean to steal some air time here, but i was just messing with my belt tension and loosened it a bit because i was hearing a clicking/ticking sound when rolling around with bike off...i loosened it a whole bunch and got a very loud whining sound and have brought it in a little at a time and am now tracking much straighter than before but right when i left off the throttle it lets a little squeak out, just for a second..is that implying that it is too loose or too tight?

I found that the chirp you hear on decel means it is a tad loose...

I used that article to get the wheel off. Very helpful. Didn't mention the spacer.
I got the axle back in. After alot of wiggling and a few threatening and impolite words.

I always use a wooden dowel like a broom stick to center mine. If you put it thru the wheel and pick the wheel up using the dowel it should helep get it in the right place.
