AIS ?????? 3 Years, 9 Months ago
I know this is not the first time somebody has asked this question, and I know that Doc and Flashback are tired of giving me advice LOL but.... What is AIS and what does it do by removing it. Will it help the sound of my exhaust? Any advice? Oh how do you remove it???

AIS is the air injection system. It injects air into the exhaust AFTER the combustion process to clean up the emissions a bit. Does nothing at all for performance or sound, may reduce the backfire on decel if you have that now. The removal procedure is in the tech section, use the correct procedure for your year.

Yeah, Nick, take it off...it won't help sound much, it will take a little air hissing sound out though. But it is alot of junk covering those jugs and taking up space.

As fir removal, you need to get a kit to do it, $15 on ebay, so that you get the blocks to plug the holes. You remove about 4 pieces and 6 hoses from the setup. Check the pics, you can see what all you remove.
