#111155 mblairmail (User) Michael Blair Fresh Boarder Posts: 30 Rev limiter... 3 Years, 9 Months ago   Hey Guys, Can anybody tell me what it sounds like when you hit the rev limiter? I am getting a strange noise when I twist the throtle and it gets up to a high rpm. I don't have a tach so I don't know if I'm near the limit or not. I removed the AIS and thoughit my be a leak around the fron AIS port cover, but i checked it and it felt ok. Near the end of the video I take the engine up to the rev limiter... I also have another video about the sounds Stars make... I have an 06 and I like to hit that sucker at least once a day to avoid svs. I t is kool at night. Whenever I go riding at night with my Harley buddies they beg me to do it just for the flame show. Yeh just wind the heck out of 1st, 2nd or 3rd and you will know when you hit it. I did'nt mention 4th or 5th as you will not hit it in 4th till around 95mph and I have gone 110 in 5th and have not hit it. Take care and I hope this helps.
