Okay...Took apart the carb today...Everything looked good ..the jets and passages were all clear the pms was a bit rich so i went to 2/12....The float level was good.....I didn't touch either the accel pump the TPS ot the coasting enricher..
The carb still looks stock except for the pms block off being removed...
The needle ,pilot,Pilot air jet are stock..the main and starter jet looked worn so i could not make out the #'s..

While i had the tank off i checked the primary coils ..they were in spec at 2.0 ohms...

My Dad took it for another ride and ..........It still sucked...
It starts chugging when you put it in first gear and try to leave from a stop(accelerate)......Even at FULL throttle..It won't go any faster than 105 KM/h...WTF????

He came back and i adjusted the pms another 1/2 turn ...It didn't make any real difference...

I just think it is way rich...but from bottom to top .......there is 4 different circuits....And it ran great before it went down hill.....Would the accel pump have anything to do with this???Being rich all over???

Thank in advanced..Ken

I'm not sure how the main jet would get worn so you couldn't see the numbers. Can you see any markings on the top at all? Is the pilot jet a 35?

Yes the pilot was a #35.....
No marks on top ..of both...but something on the side of the main....
I even asked my wife to come out to see if she could read it...

This is a pic of a stock 182.5 Mik main but your should have the same markings. It should just say 165 instead of 182.5. If your main isn't marked on top it isn't stock.

Yes..thank you..I knew what i was look for to determine a Mik and DJ main jet..But even with all that it was working great before...so what else could actually change to make in run so poor...
I also noticed some small cracks in the intake ,,,but they weren't all the way through,,,,and if they were it woukd run lean not rich...
