dunno it is only for the 1600 and it comes in the kit a lot of guys think they need it rich for more power but later on it is found to be to rich... The roadstar hates to be slammed with extra fuel unless you open the pms out to equal out the fuel delivery with the stock 35 pilot jet I doubt it has anything to do with plug wires because the plugs are burning black meaning to much fuel What kind of AIRBOX is it?

If the resistors are bad the plugs won't be firing right and will be black. Even if it isn't the problerm here it's worth getting them out. They do nothing for us but will mess us up when they go bad.

I just set a friends bike up with a DJ#195 with DYNO JET STOCK PLASTIC SPACER no shim washer but only on top of clip from the Dyno jet Needle.. blunt end down to clip setting #2. PMS out 2 turns from lightly seated dyna 3000 @34A 5000 RPM 37.5 PILOT JET he gets 230 miles per tank and it runs like a bike should... smooth shifting and great top end

I ride a 1700 with a hyper-charger @ Elevation 340 Above Sealevel... I set mine up with a DJ #200 MAIN and a 37.5 Pilot jet. DJ Needle clip at notch setting #2 plastic barrel spacer and washer on top of clip. A Dyna 3000 @ 34A.. RPM 5500. Cobra pipes with 10 baffle, and we get same mileage but I have more cubic inches than he does but 1700's are made to get better gas mileage than a 1600 because of the valve gaps. Our shifting is smooth and plenty of top end power! all four plugs burn equal a Dark grey color so we run a tige cooler..

Joken, check out my recent post on Engine Chatter / Vibration? thread . I found out that my ignition pickup coil is bad. You might want to walk through the ignition system troubleshooting section (7) in the service manual to see if you have a defective electrical component.

I found out the the air cleaner is a Kuryaky Twin velocity...so that might be the reason for not being able to identify those jets????

So what would you guys recommend for a starting point for jetting her with that air cleaner and stock pipes???

I recommend you go back to stock airbox and jetting, get aftermarket pipes, or drill the stock pipes out to at least stage 2.
