I am having a hard time finding #6 wire...What else can i use???

Any home depot, lowes should have it, very common, it is used as ground on electrical service..just bare copper wire..

Yeah..I figured out that was the wrong wire i needed and bought some 7mm plug wire...

Okay...I got the resistors out and the wire(#6) in were the resistors were...No change....adjusted the PMS leaner...still no change....
Then i checked the pick up the secondary coils the diode and it all was good....( with in spec)

So what should i be looking at next???? a new CDI?????
Adjust the accelerator pump????

I'd be interested to know what, if anything, you did that caused it to run badly ... or did it just start suddenly without you having done any mods?

This is a very interesting thread, did your dad buy this bike new? Is it used? Did some one else play with the carb?
Like it was ask before, it was running fine, then one day you got up and it ran like crap?

Yep...Dad said he was on the bypass around the city and it just all of a sudden bogged down ???
And that is were we are at ...

He bought the bike used last year.....

In that case the first thing I would have done is what you already did ...

.... drain fuel from tank and fuel bowl and replace with fresh fuel
.... clean the carb

As it's still running bad, I would now suspect the electronics.

The service manual has the process for verifying the ignition circuity. I'd follow it and see if anything unusual pops up.
