Rear Running Lights 4 Years, 2 Months ago
I've been wondering about my rear turn signals. Do any of yours act as running lights also? I have an '04 and can't figure out why Yammmie would wire the front signals to act as running lights and not the rear? Is it just my bike? Is there a simple way to make the rear signals act as running lights?

Ahhhh Sooooo! Well that explains it. I wonder if Texas has the same law? Seems it would be safer to put more light on the back end.

I have converted my rear turn signals to running light using the Kuryakyn Run-Turn-Brake Controller from PhatPerformanceParts.com. Only $38!

I replaced the colored lens on my bike with clear lenses. However, I still have amber bulbs in the rear turn signals. (Don't tell anyone!) I can't find a red 1156 bulb anywhere. My next step is to replace the 1156 sockets with 1157 sockets so I can put in red 1157 (dual filament) bulbs.

If you make the change and can't find 1156 (single filament) red bulbs for your turn signals locally (I couldn't), I found them at LightLens.com for $4.80 a pair. Now, if I can get them before I get a "fix-it" ticket!

Thanks! Good luck! With my luck they'd be at my house with a SWAT team. LOL

Post edited by: Zo, at: 2004/12/03 11:21
