I'm looking for a deep, mellow growl, not a rat-a-tat-tat machine gun sound. I'm still young and I need my hearing to last! I just got done putting these on, Roadhouse Classics with serrated shields. Very nice low rumble, not too loud. Wow, the Khromes seem like a good start for the money, espically if no re jet is required. I could see doing that until next pay raise and maybe then a set of more serious pipes with a jet kit. Haven't decided what style I want to go with the bike yet. Local show tonight, I may go get some ideas. I'm not pushing 'em, just letting you know for my wife and I, they've got the sound we like. There are plenty of choices out there, and the suggestion to listen to any first (if you can), is the best idea. I didn't do that, but I'm satisfied with what I got.
