This is johan57. thanks for the info on the 5th gear problem. Yep, 2/3 pinion gear dogs all sheared off. The only thing that I could attribute this to on my part, is running the bike a few times with out it being warmed up. When not warmed up properly my Road* will spit and sputter until it gets warmed up and this was probably a lot of stress on the tranny. This I feel is the only thing that I can think of that would have caused premature failure of the 2/3 pinion gear. "So beware don't ride a cold engine!!!" Anyway waiting on new 2/3 pinion gear to arrive to complete repairs.I'll let you guys know how the repair goes.THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
