Yes Musky, I checked for leaks, I am going to make sure now that the engine is cool that the pipes are on the muffs all the way and that the pipes are snug against the block...there MIGHT be a little room for the muffler to go onto the headeron the forward cylinder, but I didn't see any leaks, I put a candle under the bike, started it and looked for the candle flame to change it's pattern. Next...MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Insence...I don't think I have any, but there are some head shops around here. If this doesn't work, I will break down and adjust the PMS:does anyone have an "adjust your PMS for dummies" link out there...I know absolutly little about tuning the carb on these or any carborated engine...Thanks for all the support and all to come.

Make sure you had the right hose and that it was sealed good. That hose comes right off the intake manifold so if it leaks it will raise hell. Take a look in the tech articles for the PMS. There's a couple articles in there that will help you out. Basically you turn it in to go leaner and out to go richer. 1/8 turn can make a big difference so go easy.

Thanks guys, It's now going to have to wait until mama gets home from work/school. I will look at all the tech articles again, and tear into it. I have looked but not found proof, I need to take the tank off right? Really appriciate all the help.

If your just going to plug the hose you don't need to take the tank off. If your PMS hasn't been messed with before you and you plan on tweaking it you will ned to take the tank and carb off.

It's easy. Turn off the gas. Throw a towell over your handlebars and lights. Take the 3 bolts out of the dashboard and just pick up the dash and lay it on the towell. That way you don't need to disconect the wires. Take the tank vent hose off. It's in front on the right side of the tunnel. Pop your seat off and undo the little grren plug you will see sticking out from under the tank. Take the gas line off the petock. Now just pick up a little on the tank and wiggle it backwards. It will come right off.
