She just said that Harley guys would probably be out riding

That's cold.

I got half a mind to go down, take the cover off, put the battery back in, and go for a ride.

Well, to be honest I got half a mind all the time.

Hey Doc, your bike is pretty.

Bluezdawg--

You should have told her that Harley guys would be out, all right...cruising around, nice and slow...because they're looking for the bolts that fell of the bike.

Be thankful...we're supposed to check our oil level before each ride. We get to use a dipstick -- Harley guys just look at the garage floor.

Yes .... I've heard that from a lot of women.

I think that red seems to be a babe magnet. Not that it does me a lot of good (being married and all).

Like I told my brother the other evening "just cause you're on a diet doesn't mean you can't look at the menu". The look my wife gave me made me realize I had better shut up.

OK. Put the battery back in today and did some riding. SO THERE!!! Seasons over. Talking rain and snow and ice. Highs in the twenties. SO THERE!!

I've always used my plain old battery charger to top my bike batteries off ocassionally while it spends the winter sitting under the kitchen sink. The owners manual says you have to use a "Constant voltage" charger or the battery will turn in to a AAA and the stock market will crash, What do you think??

Thanks

Yes. The best way is to have a trickle charger (less that 1 amp) plugged in all winter.

I'm waiting for one of those solar powered ones to come on sale so I can save the planet .... and my pennies.

If you guys know of any inexpensive trickle chargers you'd recommend. I'd appreciate it.

Rode for about 30 min toay, was a bit colder than yesterday. Had to save face with the wife.

Went and watched Flags of Our Fathers, highly recommend it (although I liked the book better). Sure an emotional movie, more so than many that I have seen in the past. Being a Viet-nam vet, sure makes you reflect some about what those before you went through and makes you think about the young guys that are in in Iraq now. Were some powerful messages in that movie.

Have a great evening guys, gotta go watch some hoops!
