Hey guys I was working on Dads bike again and decided to change the spark plugs again.....They were all black except the right front cylinder which was white....The bike has been running rough and eating gas....
The valves were just checked about 2 months ago and were in spec????
What do you guys think??

I would make sure the white one is firing perhaps the boot was loose or the resistor in the boot is bad or the wire is bad...Coug

I thought light gray to white was good (burning hot and clean enough) and black was not so good (carboned up or fouled). Here to learn.

I agree with sobacracka; light meens it's firing and keeping things clean. Black and sooty means that too much unburned fuel is passing through the cylinder/s and leaving carbon deposits behind. Have it checked so you don't carbon up everything.

Thanks guys..i double checked for spark and it has good spark.........If the 2 plugs that are in the same cylinder and one is black and the other white.....???it doesn't make sence...because they are both getting the same fuel ????

Yep I agree Soba but my thinking was that 3 black plugs and 1 white meant a rich condition and the white one not firing just a continuous flow of gas on it kept it clean...Never heard of a two different colored plugs in the same cylinder. My rear plugs are always a little darker than the front ones and that is supposed to be normal. I am interested to see how this turns out ...Coug
Soooo Joken all plugs were firing the same and all were tight in the head???
