Yamaha Logo's 4 Years ago
Does anyone know an easy way to remove the Yamaha Logo's from the side covers and rear fender without maring the finish?. I was thinking of heat but wanted to ask before I did it.

I took the Yamaha emblems off my tank with dental floss. I just used it like a saw and sliced through the adhesive. Then I just used a product called "Goof off" to remove the rest of the adhesive tape. Hope this helps.

Yep, works for the tank emblems as well. Yamaha sticker on rear fender can be picked off with a finger nail in about 5 minutes.

Thanks ebarth1060 and Crash. I took your advice, added a little heat and WD 40 to the dental floss and they came off fine.

I did the same with fishing line.
I used a hair dryer to heat up the surface and it came off easier.

Thanks for the input Sandbag. I havn't worked on bikes in a number of years and am just starting on a 05 Road* Silverado. Didn't want to mess it up right off.
