I just had my Hypercharger taken off and a BAK replaced it. I do notice a huge difference from one to the other. The first noticable thing is more power. I thought adding the Hypercharger gave it a kick in the pants. Was I wrong. After the BAK installation I was bringing up the front end w/o even trying. I'm sold on the Big Air Kit now. Only thing that could get my interest now is a turbo-charger. Someday - maybe.
And I found out that the other mechanic (a local "custom" shop) who installed my Hypercharger put it on with silicone adhesive. Yeah. He couldn't get a good seal to the manifold I guess and he used black silicone. What a chump! I guess that's his idea of "customizing".
Didn't find that out till I had Yamaha do the recall work and install the new BAK.
I was wondering why it never seemed to work right. AND I was also wondering why my side cover and rear exhaust pipe were gettin sprayed with spatters of oil or something. It was the loose Hypercharger.

Been thinking about the HC. But I wanted to ask how you like those pipes. I've liked the style since I first saw them. But they are out side this seasons budget. Looks good on your ride Fifty!!

Pro-R HC with La Choppers. As 50 said, its NICE!
I don't like the look of the BAK, so to me it was all cosmetic. I have to look at it every day. The BAK looks like a big guitar pick to me, and well, I don't like big guitar picks! haha

I had a HC on mine for a while, never had any problems with performance, but didn't like the way it stuck out. I wanted something small so I went with MR. C's and it has worked out great ever since Mr. C's
