I've got 37,943 miles so far and it still looks good.

Keep it clean and adjusted it will last a long time.

I got 49,000 and something, but still looks good.
But I still wonder about it, I had some brand of tires on my van years ago,the point is that they didn't show any sign of wearing, but after so many miles, POP, they get blew out the sidewalls, tread still looked good.

The difference between a tire and the drive belt is the side wall. As for your drive belt you should get over 100,000 miles out of it as long as your not doing a lot of burn outs with the bike. Normal riding it will last for many years. I have 69,000 miles so far and still strong!

I have a friend who used to own and run the Harley dealership in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He had lease contracts with the city and county to provide and maintain the police bikes. He has said that he has never seen a belt fail. I have replaced one belt because a few of the cogs had come off. As long as the rubber isn't dry rotted, it isn't chaffed from rubbing something, the cogs are intact, and it isn't nicked or torn from highway debris being thrown into it don't worry.

The only what you might consider major work was new clutch disks(which I really didn't need after all) and a new pressure plate with heavy springs by Barnett's. Other then that just normal preventive maintenance.
