quiet this thing down 3 Months ago  
02 roadstar really loud ,going on trip and need to quiet it down ,don't know pipe maker. what to do? there is some tyoe of baffle in it now.

based on what you've told us I would suggest potatoes. Large baking potatoes stuffed in the the tailpipes. Either that or put it on a trailer. Like others said, pics will get you better advice.

Okay I'm not the original poster but I have the 02 with V/H long shots on it is there any way to quiet them down...The wife complains on the back......Okay and dont tell me to just ride single........lol

I'm pretty sure V&H makes different baffles for thier pipes...some quieter. Or maybe wrap what you have, or back to stock...plenty of sets around for sale , cheap.

I don't know without asking if there is a choice of baffles from Vance & Hines. I have their Longshots on my own bike. They come with baffles in place. Look on the back side oof the pipes about 3 inches forward of the end. There should be a screw which holds the baffle in place. If there is just a hole then the baffles have been removed. Even if baffles are in place they may have been altered!

You could always pick up a set of Original pipes.
They're all over E-Bay Cheap.

It's only a few minute job to convert back and forth, for when your feeling mischievious.
