Cougar, take a look at Hacker pipes. They offer what I consider "true" dual exhaust. I just didn't like the 180 degree bend for the rear cylinder and they are much slimmer. The Doolies have 3 1/4" mufflers, I think they look better.
Wish I had mine.

The 2 go into one but there is a crossover pipe that runs behind the rear cylinder. Look at a Harley Road King and you'll see the set up. That's why I think the Hacker is a "true" dual, 2 separate pipes. I asked about the Hackers a while ago and also got no opinions. They are very pricey.

I am still confused are both pipes actively exhausting .......The shifter side exhausting the rear cylinder and the brake side exhausting the front cylinder....or is it 2 into 1 and the shifter side is a dummy pipe??????.....sorry if I am getting stupid here but anytime I pay over 2 bucks for something I get inquisitive.....by the way sharp bike I like the color.....Not White ......Coug

Vegas Dave I see you run the dooleys .....I see on the right side a 2 into 1 setup????and a 3rd pipe on the left side is attached ???? or exactly how do the pipes run (Hooked up}.....Coug....I have never seen them in person.

The rear pipe has a ( Y ) that goes across to the left side of the bike.
Then the leftside pipe slips over it.I did have some problems with the left side
bracket,or I should say the dealer did. When I got it home I used an extra washer here one less at another spot till the bracket was positioned properly. The way
our rear pulley sits the left pipe will be slightly farther out than the right.
But its real hard to tell.I did find myself dragging the left cadillac tip on
tight left hand turns,so I bought the tapered ones. Also the new tips did not fit as snug as the ones that I bought the pipes with, nothing that that bothered me enough to return them.I love the sound and I love the look. There nice and quiet
at cruising speed and turn up when you turn it on.The crome on the pipes is so so,
but the crome on the COVERS is excellent.Barely any of the actual pipes show...

They should be paying me for this shit!!Overall I`m satisfied!

Hey Bru,I`m wondering If `true dual is really better`. Most newer bikes and even our stock pipes have "cross over" I think it has something to do with scavaging
gasses Just a thought

I have always been under the impression that getting exhaust out with the least amount of back pressure is best(Ever put Cherry Bombs on a car?). However, the reports I've read on newer systems seem to contradict that. Remember Kirker Pipes? BIG expansion chamber and tiny exhaust tube at the end. The theory was concentrating the exhaust at the end and "popping" it out created suction inside the pipe and actually pulled the next exhaust out. Shoots my theory to hell if true. Personnally, I would think the Hacker idea might be a bit be a bit better. I didn't like the 180 on the rear pipe and I like the looks of the RoadHouse MUCH better. I did want Fish Tails, but what they have doesn't look like the old Fishys to me, I went with the standard slash cut that come with the pipe, probably the best fit too. Also, I have never heard Hackers and no one seems to have a hands on opinion. I heard the Roadhouse on a Harley and it sounded Great.

Hey bru
Do a search over on the RSR site for Hackers and you will come up with some hands on opinions.

OK Musky, make me feel like a rookie again. What is RSR?

Never mind, Musky. Found it. Still like the Dooly looks better.

I think I can just put a couple of 90's in my rear pipe and I'll be good to go.
