Wobble in the front 4 Years ago
I recently installed a throttle lock on my '02 Roadstar Silverado (unexpected Christmas gift from my understanding wife) and I attempted a little hands free riding just to see how the bike tracked. Shortly after removing my hands from the bars the front end started to wobble violently. As soon as I put my hands on the grips it stopped. I don't feel any undo vibration in the bars while riding. The bike seems to handle well at both high and low speeds. I did notice that the bike wanted to drift slightly to the right when I took my hands off the grips in the brief time before the onset of the wobble. I don't know it that was caused by the camber of the road or not. At any rate, I'm asking for some knowledgeable input on this. My guess is my tire alignment, but then again, I wouldn't be asking if I "knew" for sure.

Most obvious is tire. Check for correct tire pressure of both front and back. Next check for uneven wear of the front tire such as cupping.

If tires are OK then check the neck assembly. Jack up the front end, grab the front forks and and try to move them back and forth (front to back). There should be no play in the front end. If there is, then the assembly needs to be tightened.

Angle the front wheel to the right (or left) a little and let go. The front should not fall to the steering stop with a 'big bang'. If if does, then the assembly is too loose and needs to be tightened.

My best guess would be the front tire cupping. Mine did this also. Was even worse when I gently applied front brakes.
