Re:cruse controll 2 Months ago
I use the vista cruise also like has been mentioned. On the straight it doesn't seem to need much tweaking. It has been great for me. I also have Kuryakyn grips and not being stock I just reversed the direction of the grip clamp and the adjustment screw and it works great with these type of non stock grips.

Some of the best money I have ever spent was on the throttle bosses for the Kuryakyn Iso grips. Have one on each grip. They not only look great - but it's like resting your hand on a table top.

Vista, and if you tighten the nut on the bottom it should stay right where you lock it, and still be able to twist for accel and emergency decel..
picks of mine modified from one of the tech articles..

had to open up the collar to fit over the kury grips but it works great

I have the "Throttle Miester" on my *. I got the "Heavy" version to help cut down on handlebar vibration. A bit spendy, but real nice.

I've got a throttle boss/tab on the end of my grip that lets me rest my hand on long rides. I think I'll probably try out the cheapo tubing idea from the tech article.

Re:cruse controll 2 Months ago
I had the Vista Cruise on my VStar before I traded up to the RoadStar. It was the one that sits between the throttle and the switch block. I had to modify the grip a bit to make room but I hated the look of the one that has the clamp on the left side of the switch block. I wanted something similar for my R* but there was even less room between the throttle and switch block so I bit the bullet and spent the money on the BrakeAway Products throttle lock. The craftsmanship is outstanding and it operates flawlessly. Just a touch on the front brake and it disengages. The look and feel matches the quality of my RoadStar. I've been riding with it for 6K miles and I'm glad I spent the bucks.

Re:cruse controll 2 Months ago
Long2ride,
that is what this one was, the tech articles have this mod... and its cheap and easy to do..
took a little patience to drill the hole, tapped it to the same size as the screws that come with the vista, had the piece of aluminum but a 4 ft stick is only 10 bucks or so at hardware store.
so for less than 40 bucks and a little time, I like it.

That's a nice solution to the problem. Great ideas like that are what I like so much about this forum.
