Ignition moduel 7 Years, 4 Months ago

Been awhile since I have posted. Some may remember that I had three ignition moduels go out on my bike. Well now make that 4! One was the Yamaha speedstar and the other three have been the Dayna 3000. Shop is picking my bike up and we will see what they do this time. It has all been covered by the warrenty. Have any others with the 1700 engine had problems with after market moduels? They go out at around 600 miles.

Good to see you here Dick. Please keep us posted on the outcome. I have never heard of a bike going through this many ignition modules. I would love to know why its going through them so fast. GRAM

Well good news from the yamaha dealer. The bike had fouled plugs not another moduel. The thing ran just like the other times that it had burnt the moduel. New plugs and retune and no charge for the work. Back in the saddel! DL
