Safe for clutches. I used it no problem. BUT, I did notice that when I have SVS or a leaking intake I get the noise your talking about, Lucas quiets it down a lot, but right after they fixed it I used Amsoil with no Lucas and it had no noise. I use it ever time, I have a jug and shot glass in my saddle bag.
