Can I reuse these ? 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago
The gasket where my exhaust meets the cylinders ? I'm installing Freedom Duels and these gaskets looked allright but I wanted to make sure first. They look good still but I thought they might be crushed too much.

How much do they cost?

I reused mine. If I had taken them off a couple of times I would have changed. Worked out fine.

There is probably a spec to torque them at, but I just used a standard length rachet and got them tight, but I didnt lean on it. then when I got the bike good and hot I gave them another 1/8" or so turn while it was hot. I never had a problem.

Thanks Java I'm just checking. This is as far into my bike as I've ever been and wanted to make sure before I stripped any more bolts. It seems like every time I do something to it I have to go to the hardware store to stock up on bolts. HAHA

They are about $7.00 each and yes they are a crush type gasket. You can buy felpro 23588 gaskets at an auto parts store and use them in place of the OEM ones. You will need to keep checking them for a while as they seat and the nuts become loose. I couldn't find the torque for the bolts just snug them down good but nkeep checking them for a few days.

The stock gaskets aren't crush gaskets so you should be able to re-use them. After you get everything tightened up take it out and ride it. Let it cool off and tighten the nuts again. They will probably be a little loose. Do that a couple times.

Oh yes they are if you buy new ones you will see there is material just like the felpro gasket sandwiched between the cooper. I know because I just bought new one a couple of weeks ago.

I am going to be replacing my Krome Werks with the stock exhaust soon, so I bought new gaskets at the dealer. Just wanted to be safe. They were $21.95 for the pair.
