OK I am completely lost. I removed the rectifier, but did not see two hoses in back of it. My rectifier does not hang down as yours does in the pictures, mine has a plug in on the top of the rectifier, as your pictures show the plug on the bottom. I am including some web links to some pictures I took, if someone would be kind enough to look at them and tell me which hoses should be disconnected and a plug placed in the end. It is a 2007.

Morning 6hrtbt3,

Ok, looked at your pics and here's the deal: if all you want to do is disable the AIS you don't really need to move the rectifier.

I disabled mine for about a week before my removal kit arrived (eBay...$16) and here's the verbal description: Go to the other side of the bike, the left side. Look at the larger diameter metal tubes, one each running up to the upper part of the cylinders. These tubes attach to rubber tubing that runs over to that mess up front. Here's a cool trick: take the rubber tubes off and plug them there with a wire nut (you know, the things used to twist wires together.) I had some yellow ones that fit in there nice and snug, and then I reattached the hoses so it looked stock.

Next, find the small....the small....hose that attaches to the AIS pump, about 1/8th inch hose. It attaches to the top of the pump, and it also is accessed from the left side of the bike. Pull that and plug the hose with a bolt. I used a zip tie around it to make sure it sealed. This hose runs up directly to your intake manifold, so if you don't plug this well you'll end up with a massive intake leak. This will stop the pump from running needlessly.

This will disable the AIS. If you like the way it runs after this mod, I suggest getting the kit and removing all of it. Reason: after just a week of running it disabled, when I finally removed all the stuff there was considerable condensation in the tubes between the block I'd put in and the cylinders. Can't be good long term, I thought.

Hope this helps.....all written with only the first cup of coffee
