Super Comfy Studded non-Black Seat 1 Month, 4 Weeks ago
I want to replace my stock single with a studded natural leather (or non black) looking seat that is more comfy than the stocker.

Any tips (and URLs)?

Haven't tried them out yet, but I'm planning to.

I've been talking to a lot of people on this site who really like the "Ultimate" seat. http://www.ultimateseats.ca/yamaha.html and they sound like the ones I will most likely get to replace my stock seats.

I can rebuild both your stock front and back seats for great comfort for total $300. You then take it to your local upholsterer and have them put any color material you want on it.

PB, do you tool other brands? If my Corbin Dual Tour had some lumbar support and maybe a tailbone sink, my right hip and lower back wouldn't kill me so much.

Frank, we do any brands. The limitations on lowering or re-pitching any seat are the amount of foam to work with and the complexity of the stitching, especially with side flaps. Deep cutting will not look good on seats with lots of stitching. One piece dual seats typically can not undergo major pitch changes without changing the look of the seat, due to the flow of the stiching patterns. Minor pitch changes and tail bone wells are not a problem. Some of the Corbin seats have little foam where your tailbone hits, especially if its the model with the backrest. The bracket bolts are just under the tail bone spot. That's the most common reason for us rebuilding those driver seats.
The labor on the riveted and glued seats per seating area is $125 vs $55 for a stapled seat. To rebuild your driver seat area and re-pitch it would end up about $250 less a $20 R* Clinic discount.

Ultimateseats does make them in brown. Ask them for a sample. I just found a seat for sale, really cheap, and proceed to make my own. I may do another one and add studs and conchos.

Mustang makes a really nice set of covers in black for under $100 for stock R* seats. They are studded, with or w/o fringe.

I'm just trying to figure out what the heck is wrong with my seat, or maybe my posture. If I'm going to put any major distance on this bike like I plan to, something's got to change.
