One of the first things I did to my 04 was to hack the heel shift off. It took up too much room on the board with my big old clodhopper. As far as "marking up" my boot.....pfffftt....thats what they are for. They are boots, I use them. Thats like not walking in them because you are afraid you will get the heels dirty. No offense meant to anyone.

I got used to the heel-toe shifter on my '86 Venture Royale some years ago, and like it on my Roadie. The paddle design keeps it tucked out of the way until I need it, and being able to adjust it separately from the toe shifter is a nice touch.

I went toa single shifter, more room for my feet (of course I'm taking the boards of and putting pegs on so that arguement goes away). Mostly I did it as its lighter!

You bet, count the ounces and they become pounds and that slows you down. when in doubt through it out!

I found a new option haven't seen it before. You can go single or extend 0.5 to 2" both front and back.
To toe or Heel toe
